Jean-François Larouche

CEO, Creative director+

After studying graphic design and visual arts at CEGEP in Quebec City, I began my career in the world of communications as a graphic designer at Claude Plante & Associates in 1982. By 1986 I was back to being a full-time student, this time in Paris, where I took political science at Institut des études politiques de Paris. Upon returning to Quebec City, I worked as a project manager at Marketel, and it’s there that my passion for advertising really came to the fore. From there, I was hired by Bleau, Dupéré, Giguère as business development and project manager.

In 1992, I had the good fortune to work for Gams of Chicago as an account director and business development manager, an experience that let me experience the excitement of life at an American agency for myself. And my adventures in the English-speaking world didn’t end there—in 1994 I moved to Toronto to work for Young & Rubicam as art director for clients like Ford, WhiteHall Robin, and Dupont. I loved every minute of it!

Returning to Quebec City, I fulfilled my long-held dream of setting up an agency by founding Gauthier Larouche in 1996, before co-founding Côté Larouche one year later. In addition to sharing the management of this agency, I was also business development manager and account director for clients like Urgel Bourgie, Lépine Cloutier, Coopérative Horticole Groupex, Verity Audio, Texel, and BainUltra.

In November 2006 I founded my very own agency, where I work today as CEO, creative director, and business development manager.
